A lot of elements are forgotten which should be planned from the start, it’s easy to focus on the aesthetics but forget about the less glamorous elements, such as storage, lighting & socket fittings, furniture placement, wall space, radiators, computer/work-space, smart technology and windows. The list goes on .............!
Think of the future and accommodating
changing needs.
Think of ventilation with vast amounts of glazing/bifold doors.
Think about storage solutions and using all of the space possible, think clever!
Think about the practicalities of flooring.
Now do you need help to manage your renovation? YES you do!
Let me make sure your project runs smoothly, saving you a lot of stress, ensuring you stay on budget. I will take ownership of the project, monitoring the day-to-day progress, overseeing contracts, quality and time management, ultimately saving you time and money.

“I’ll leave this here for now” or “I’ll come back to that later”
It is a choice not to decide what to do with a paper clip, hair bobbin or empty sunglasses case, the more you avoid the decision, the more the clutter builds. Then, not only is the clutter hard to deal with, but the decisions around it are harder too. Creating efficiency in your personal life can be liberating, reducing tension and improves your daily routines by claiming back space & energy.
The secret of successful decluttering is to go into battle with a clear plan. Without one, you won’t know where to start or how to structure the time. People may try to do too much in one day and feel so overwhelmed they give up and for me getting organised should make life easier, not more stressful.
If you need some extra help, I will work alongside you, providing both practical and emotional support. Often just tackling a small area to begin with to provide an achievable goal and with an extra pair of hands the sorting process can really speed along. I give advice on recycling and selling or to donate to the right place.
Very often I hear ‘I’m sure I could do this myself’…and of course, you can, but the benefit of a professional working beside you is that the work is faster and more focused, and you’re guaranteed a result for the time you put in.
Why can’t I let go?
Throwing items away or moving them to new homes can be painful, particularly if they’re associated with a memorable time and it may help to create a memory box for these special items.
Decluttering isn’t about getting rid of everything; it’s about empowering people to make decisions about all the things they have ended up with.
As a professional organiser I am objective and non-emotional
about your possessions. I ask practical questions and together we sort out the
contents of a space into different categories: recycling, charity, rubbish,
keeping in another room in the house…. We will sort through every single item
making a decision about each as we go.
So let’s get started!
Make areas feel warm & welcoming by layering up with cushions, throws, potted flowers and low maintenance plants. Give that old wooden furniture a new look with some bright blues/aqua paints to give a fresh summer feel.
Using perimeter seating is the most effective way to maximise your living space outside. Consider foot traffic, ensure there is plenty of space to walk through by creating a path way of at least four feet wide. Also consider natural shade spaces to help keep a cool spot for the seating area.
A classically styled bench can be a lightweight piece that is easily moved and used as extra seating during the summer months.
Ceramic garden stools are one of the most timeless choices with a lovely summer cushion on top adds seating to any part of the garden during the summer. The most popular ones are botanical shapes with asian landscapes in shades of blue & white.
If you are thinking of selling, DO NOT forget the garden! A nice garden adds value and can be done on a small budget.

Here are some ideas fit for spring right through to summer.
Acid Green & White – super clean, creams & beiges can make colours a little muddy, so go with a stark white to give contrast. Also Tangerine & lime tones with a neutral white for balance & a fresh feel.
Fuchsia – Turquoise & White are colours for the ultimate spring look! As well as Purple, Turquoise & Tangerine.
Choose a pattern that mixes all of these lovely spring colours together as your accent pieces.
Aqua, Navy & Flamingo Pink are a great mix for summer. Layer different shades of blue, aqua & blue grays with a bold pink, also Navy, Teal & Coral are a good mix of summer & spring colours.
Powder Blues are great with light woods, cool colours for a light & airy feel – great if trying to achieve that Scandinavian look!
Blue Greys & Blush Pink with White put a neutral spin on your spring colour scheme, warm & cool hues striking a nice contrast.
